How to reach Rama Lake?
Rama lake is accessible to vehicles till the Rama lake base camp. Base camp to Rama lake is at a hiking distance of 1.5 hours to 2 hours. The time of hiking depends on the route condition. The hiking route will be more comfortable to hike during July and August.
Traveling guideline to Rama lake is:
- Astore to Rama Meadows takes around 1 hour. Car or 2X wheelers are convenient to approach Rama Meadows.
- Rama Meadows to Rama Lake base camp is 15 to 20 minutes apart.
- Base Camp to Rama Lake is a no-road zone.
- BC to Rama Lake is at around 1.5 to 2 hours of hiking distance.
Rama Meadows
Rama meadows fall on the way to the majestic lake. The Rama lush green meadow is a refreshing point for tourists. A river intersecting the meadow makes it astonishing. Camping facilities and hotels are available at Rama Meadows for tourists who wish to stay.

Rama Lake Base-Camp
Rama lake base camp is the last reachable point of vehicles. Base Camp of Rama lake having the best places for camping. Hotels of mediocre class are available there which having night stay facility. The best thing is, all staff of hotels is well trained on first aid in case of any emergency.

Rama Lake Astore
Rama Lake Astore is very famous among the domestic tourist community. Nearly 90% of tourists who visit GB also steer up to this lake. Rama Lake’s specialty is; surrounded by glaciers and guarded by the mighty Nanga Parbat. The water source of this lake is glaciers and snow around. Nanga Parbat sunset is the best capturing moment of Rama Lake.

Rama lake opens for tourists from May to September. The best time to visit the place is between June to August.
