Young Hunzaiite Nadia Jalal has started her solo trek on Old Silk Route today in partnership with The Karakoram Club. Her goal is to hike from Hunza to Gilgit via the Old Silk Route. It is a 5 days trek which is 118 km long. The aim she want to achieve by this mission for the goodwill of the peoples of Gilgit Baltistan as well as Pakistan. To promote tourism in the region for womens around the globe.
In Nadia’s last video message, she thanks ‘The Karakoram Club’ for helping her every moment.
Nadia Jalal started her mission on 9 August, 2021 and expected to get the feat on 14, August 10, 2021.
The main objective of Nadia Jalal’s independence month hike is to highlight that Pakistan is a safe place for female travelers and to appeal for the preservation of this historic route.
