There’s always heavy wind during the month of May in Skardu. wind speed goes upto 100km/h which makes it so difficult to drive. The statics of traffic accidents during the month of May is also much greater than rest of the year.
Tourists are advise to take care during wind. It is highly recommended to avoid traveling to Kharmang and Shigar side when there’s wind. There is a possibility of land slides.
