Ahmed Hussain Became Fastest Pakistani to Summit Gasherbrum II

Climber Mr. Ahmed Hussain summited G2 in 14 hours from the base camp making a record in Pakistani mountaineering history. Ahmed Hussain became the fastest Pakistani to summit Gasherbrum II.

The world’s fastest to summit Gasherbrum is 9 hours and 30 minutes. In 1997 Anatoli Boukreev achieved a solo speed ascent, from advance Basecamp (5800 metres) to summit in a record time.

Ahmed Hussain summited G2(Gasherbrum II) in 14 hours from Basecamp to summit in 14 hours and became fastest Pakistani.

Gasherbrum II also known as K4 is the 13th highest mountain in the world at 8,035 metres.
