Islamabad to Skardu byroad traveling is one of the most fascinating travel adventures. The total time it takes to reach Skardu from Islamabad by road is around 14 hours via car or luxurious vehicle and 18 to 20 hours via public transport.
The major portion of Karakoram Highway connects the way from Islamabad to Skardu. The major cities that come across the way are Rawalpindi, Taxila, Abottabad, Masera, Bisham, Chilas, and Juglot. Naran-Kaghan road is only available during the peak summer days only. Naran Kaghan road opens during the mids of May and is unavailable for traffic after October.
